General FAQ's

The Walk and 5K Run will support over 1,500 homeless veterans and their families by ensuring they have safe shelter, food, needed services and other essentials.

Once you enter through the main gate on Valley Road, officers will direct you to a parking space.
Stop by the registration tent to check-in and get your t-shirt ticket.
You can pick up your bib at the registration tent.
T-shirts will be available at the t-shirt tent on June 11, 2020 with ticket from registration!
Yes. Teams are welcome to make and wear their own t-shirts for the event.
Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to participate!
The Race is 5K or 3.1 miles.
The walk is just over 1 mile.
The race starts are 7:00 PM. Allow 5 minutes to walk over to the starting line from registration. The Walk begins at 7:12 PM.
Yes. The race results will be posted at the event and online. More info to follow.
Yes! If you are a runner please line up at the back of the race if you are planning to bring a stroller.
The 5K run is a USATF-NJ sanction event and dogs are not permitted with runners. Service dogs are allowed with walkers.
If the weather is predicted to be very extreme, our rain date is Thursday, June 18, 2020. We will send an email in advance to all participants.

Registration FAQ's

Walker registration is $15 and Runner registration is $25.
Yes. You will be able to register at the registration tent on the day of registration. If you are planning on running or walking, be sure to be at the event prior to 6:30 PM for day of registration.
Online Registration will close on Wednesday, June 7th at 12:00 PM. The website will remain open for donations only.
Yes! Once you fill out your own registration online and press continue, you will have the opportunity to register additional participants.
Yes. Children under 5 years old are granted free admission to the event. Children 5 years old and older, can be registered as an additional participant under your own registration.
Yes! Click Register to Run or Walk on the Home page.
Yes! Join the "Friends of Hope for Veterans" Team and walk with members of The Hope for Veterans Community!

It's simple! Once you complete your registration, you will receive an email with the subject “Support us through your web page”. Save this email!

In the email, click on the Manage Your Page link, you will be brought to your Personal Page where you can use the tabs along the top to customize your page

Click on the Teams tab, you have the option to Create or Join a Team

A list of teams will appear on the Teams tab; you can click on the team name then click Join to join the team

Or you can type in a team name and create a team then click Create Team. Please note, when you create a Team, you will be designated the Team Capitan.

On the Home page, click on Teams. Under Team List, click the team name to join.

I registered as an individual and want to change my registration to be a member of a team. How can this be done?
Find the email with the subject “Support us through your web page”.

In the email, click on the Manage Your Page link, you will be brought to your Personal Page.

Click on the Teams tab and a list of teams will appear on the Teams tab; you can click on the team name then click Join to join the team.

I registered as a walker and want to change my registration to be a runner. How can this be done?

Call Vanessa Bazydlo at 973-463-9600 ext. 308. You will be charged an additional $10 for a runner registration.
