Women Veterans Housing
Community Hope’s Women Veterans Housing Program was developed in Partnership with Family Promise and Homeless Solutions to provide permanent affordable housing in a women only neighborhood of homes in Morris County, New Jersey. Community Hope will provide the housing support services to four (4) women veterans seeking housing stability with low-income.
Our unique program will focus on addressing the needs of the most vulnerable and at-risk women who served in our US military who without additional support services would become homeless. The program supports women to live independently in affordable permanent housing with the help of ongoing counseling and support services consistent with the principles of wellness and recovery and supported housing. By developing gender-specific, affordable permanent housing program, women veterans will benefit from affordable housing options, specialized housing support services, support groups, and residential rehabilitation designed to meet the needs of women veterans. While in our program, veterans are provided with housing stability, employment resources and training to develop the skills to maintain independent living.
The goal of the community where the home is located is to be an environment of friendship, camaraderie and support among all the residents, therefore, the women will be receiving assistance from their neighbors as well as Community Hope and its employees.
Referrals to the Women Veterans Housing program are accepted from community providers, local and County Veteran services providers, Veterans Administration, family members or other informal supports, as well as self-referral by individuals.
