Community Hope Receives Grant from the Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation to Help Support Homeless Veterans, Veteran Families and Adults with Mental Illness.

Parsippany, NJ – Community Hope has received a grant in the amount of $3,500 from Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation. The donation will fund shelter and critical services for veterans, veteran families and adults with mental illness who depend upon Community Hope’s mission to help them to honorably rebuild their lives.

“Community Hope has been helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society for over 35 years. However, we could not carry out our mission without the help of our loyal partners like the Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation”, says Carmine V. Deo, Community Hope’s Executive Director. “We are so grateful to the AFCU Foundation for loyally assisting us each year.”

This year alone, Community Hope estimates that through their through their veterans’ programs and services more than 1,000 veterans and family members will move from living on the streets and in overcrowded shelters to the comfort of a home with supportive services. In addition, each day, 150 individuals are served in Community Hope’s mental health supportive housing and residential recovery programs.
